To: Folks 1944_1_2 From: Kenney [2 page letter] Date: 1-2-1944 1-2-434 Dear Folk’s: I have the ambition to write a few lines so here goes, I received a letter from [5/00 3 times at the left margin] mom yesterday that she wrote on the 30th, as yet I haven’t received the package, but I hope it gets here as I am getting anxious, to see what it look’s like, well the quarantine will be lifted the fifth of Jan so we will finish our examination and move into the shipping company and from where [page has been cut and first part of the text is missing to the following] shipped out. Where too I really don’t know. “over” [2] But this quarantine saved me from going over last week I think I would just as soon go over and the sooner we get this the sooner we will all be able to come back. But you can’t tell they may send me to a hospital somewhere here in the U.S.A. we will just have to wait and see, I am about ready to go over & try to call try I hope I have better luck than the last time, I suppose Larry and Clem will be there by the time you get this letter, well tell everyone hello for [page has been cut and the text is missing] “Love Kenney
