The Dole Institute of Politics Autographed Photos Collection contains photographs taken of guest speakers and event hosts at the Dole Institute of Politics. The collection contains photographs from 2005 to 2019. The majority of photographs were shot indoors at the Dole Institute, often showing the large stained glass American flag in Hansen Hall as a backdrop. A small portion of autographed photographs are photocopies of event programs.
The Dole Institute of Politics hosts numerous events each year, with prominent guests from a variety of backgrounds, such as politicians, international figures, journalists and writers, business leaders, military leaders, lobbyists, academics, activists, civil servants, and University of Kansas professors.
Folders within the collection are organized chronologically whenever possible. The photographs range in size from 3 1/2" x 5" to 11" x 14" and are nearly all full color. The majority of the photographs were taken by Alison (Heath) Carter or other Dole Institute of Politics staff members.
