Dear Bob:
Haven’t been so good about writing to you- and I know where you are letters really pull you through, so please accept my sincere apologizies [sic].
Have been hearing from mom [sic] almost every day-and have been writing back to her every day, at least she can relieve her worries some about me- at least I do hope it help [sic] keep here mind occupied and not worry her.

I am not working any more now as I am on orders for a new base to go north, I have been trying for sometime to go north, don’t have any idea of when it will be-doubt if it will be Manila-but anyplace will be better than these jungles of N.G.
Hope by now you are getting a break, and hit a rest camp. well Bob I haven’t told you too much and I know I should write more but I think you will understand when I say I don’t know of anything new. Well Bob keep your eyes open and take it easy, & I will do the same.
