Kenneth Dole to Dad
Date:

Description:
To: Dad 1943_11_10 From: Kenney [4 page letter] Date: 11-10-1943 11-10-43 Dear Dad: I received two letters from you today, and also the Money Order, it is more than I need but if I get a furlough I will pay it back to you, & if I don’t get one I will send it back. I didn’t do much today, I worked in a collecting station and I was in charge of loading the Ambulances tomorrow we run the clearing station and all we will do is sit around all day until over the patients come through and then we look over the bandages and see if they are ok, and then we take them off, so there won’t be much to do tomorrow, about the only thing that we have to do yet that will be tough is marching back to camp and I will be so glad to get back it won’th bother me a bit, I have some pictures and a fellow is going to bring them out so I will send them to you. Page 2 as soon as he brings them out. Ernie got a money order yesterday so if we get a furlough we are all set. Why don’t you go pheasant hunting, there is a swell place out by the place Alvin Schneider used to live it is on the Emil Hawker place that is where we got some last year or you can go out to Herman Langholtz, or Jake Frank’s over I had better close for now and drop a line to mom so I will write again tomorrow as I will have a lot of time. Love Kenney Thank’s for the M.O. Ernie & I may send a Parlay
