Title:
Kenneth Dole to Folks
Date:
1945-07-14
Description:
To: Folks 1945_7_14 From: Kenney [2 page letter] Date: 7-14-1945 [Eagle Insignia United States Army] July-14-45 Saturday 1600 hrs Dear Folk’s: Well I promised to drop you a few lines in my last letter but honestly I didn’t just forget, I haven’t had any time to myself, except to eat and sleep but am getting a little better settled now and will be able to do the writing I want to do, I am still in QM very much to my dis-approval but there isn’t anything that I can do about it as they won’t give me a transfer, so it looks as though I will just have to make the best of it. One of the boys in my tent is going home tomorrow to be discharged from the Army and it really, [Eagle Insignia United States Army] =Page-2= makes me feel bad in a way to see him go- not that I don’t want him to get out of all this mess, I just makes [sic] me think of how happy I would be to take his place, and I do hope that day is not too far away. I do hope that Bob, is getting along OK, and is soon back home with all of you, as I know it is just what he needs, to get him back on his feet again. Well I am sorry I cannot find any more to write about today for some reason, I think you know how I feel, until tomorrow I must say goodnight. So Long for Now Love Kenney
