Dear Mom & Dad:
To begin with I want to tell you that my mail is being censored, and I will not be able to tell you all the things that I am doing, I know you will understand.
At the present I can tell you that I am somewhere on the west coast, but that’s all, so please bear with me.
I am now an acting corporal, and I stand a pretty good chance of getting my stripes, that is if they

think I am capable of being a non.Com:, I am going to do my best to try and made the grade. Well mom there isn’t a lot I can tell you, except I am feeling fine, and I am well, I received your last letter. You will get my new address [sic] soon so please let me hear from you, I haven’t received your package with my wrist watch as yet, but I hope to soon. Well I will close for
