Dear Folk’s Somewhere in the Phillipines [sic]
Haven’t had a lot of time the past few days to do any writing as I just arrived and haven’t really been able to get adjusted to the change. I am now in the Quartermaster very much to my disappeared [sic], although I am hoping for a change, I am working in civilian Labor Section, to see that the people get to work, & get their rations & pay, it is quite different here than New Guiena [sic] as it is civilization and the people are educated, some are very well educated with college educations & speak excellent English, they really get a kick out of American slang.

Was very surprised as when we arrived I had 14 letters & 6 packages waiting for me, and I have read all are of the letters several times as I haven’t has any mail as long as you from me, however I haven’t been able to write due to conditions beyond my control as you will probably understand.
Was very happy to know that Bob is now in Topeka in the Hospital, I really wish I could be there to see him but perhaps I can before too long, I do hope that one of the family can be with him every day as possible, as it would be the best medicine he could possibly have, as he must really be homesick as well as wounded.

Please give bob mu best regards and I do hope that he will be home soon, and back to the best life of all with the greatest parents anyone could ever have,
Do You [sic] remember what the name; of that small newspaper was I sent to you from New Guiena, I would like for You to send it to me as I want to get a subscription, be sure to send the name only.
Please give my love to all, By [sic] the way all the packages were in excellent condition and they were all food, only the T-shirts & shoes, not the watch or bracelette [sic] or Lighter- thanks a million mom [sic] the shoes were perfect.
So Long for Now- Love Kenney
