Dear Bob:
Just completed a letter to the folks so I thought I would drop you a few more lines to let you know, that I am getting along OK and feeling just fine, in fact I I am still putting on weight and not in the wrong places, -192- and I hit 6’2” with my shoes on, so I am going to catch up with you yet.
I was going to send you a snapshot but I cannot find it, but will send you another as soon as I can have some taken- we have to send them to Australia to get them developed so it takes quite some time to get them back, but I will get some taken if I can find the films, and send some snaps on to you, and you do the same if you ever get a chance,

I have been trying to get out of this place and get to Manila for quite sometime, but as yet I haven’t had too much success, the main reason being is that the Col. won’t let any men go, so I am still sweating it out. I haven’t seen anything but Natives & coconuts for so damn long, I feel like part of one myself, but I can’t complain as I now have a good job, good quarters, and the chow is not too bad (bully- beef) I have my own transportation, go to the movies, and we have a few stage shows now & then. I was fortunate enough to see Bob Hope & Francis [sic] Langford when they were here, and I go to the beach quite often and get a good sun tan- so I am not [kicking] all I want is to get away from here

and see come civilization for a change- I do hope that you are not where I think you are- but you can let me know if you ever get across the river- and I will have some idea, I tired to get into the 32nd/ [mtn] – you have no doubt heard of it and they still wouldn’t let me go – so I guess the only way out is to wait until it’s over, and I am betting on your side to end first, when you finish the Germans we can go to work on these rats.
Well Non I guess I had better bring this to a close for now, so it easy and don’t worry about me, I will [let] you hear from me again soon- so long for now and good luck.
Love
Kenney
