To: Folks 1944_12_31 From: Kenney [1 page letter] Date: 12-31-1944 Dutch New Guiena Dec. 31, 44 Dear Folk’s: Here goes again for a few lines, before this year is gone again, time really flies even though it seems to drag along from day to day, at least it seems that way to me. I am feeling just fine and getting along OK, hope this finds you the same, and Norma back on the job again, I don’t want her to go to work to soon, as this isn’t anything worth your health, and I know, I wouldn’t trade mine for anything in the world, and I try very hard to keep it in the best of condition, and I hope she will do the same. I haven’t received any more packages since my last letter to you, but hope to in the near future, as I really do enjoy everything you send, and I can’t tell you just how much I appreciate these things that maybe seem common and so everyday to you, but they are things that money cannot by [sic] here and they are more than a luxury to me, and I get so much good use out of everything you send, even right down to the wrapping paper, Well, this is about sums up all I have to say for today so I will close for now hoping to hear from you soon, Please give my regards to all, I just wrote to Bob.
