Dear Folk’s:
I was very happy, as I just received your first letter s it was a V mail letter written on the 6th of May, the one you told me about the garage you were building, for the new car, boy it sounds really good. I was happy to know that you are all feeling just fine, and also to know that you rec. a letter from Harold. Tell Dad he can make that garage a double order as when I get home I hope to buy a new car myself, that is if I have enough money.
I think I know what has happened to all of our old mail that we have never rec. they got our A.P.O. number mixed up and then we had our A.P.O. changed and they claim the A.P.O. no. 7528 which was my A.P.O. back in the states has gone clean over to England so it looks as though it will be a little late in getting here, the average V mail takes from 10 to 14 day [sic] from the states to here.

Well there isn’t a whole lot to write about as there isn’t a lot of news on this end, at best none that I know of. I hope you have been getting my mail as I have written you quite a number of letters. I know you are writing too as it is just starting to come through. Well there isn’t a whole lot I can say, except one thing I just happened to think of.
I was wondering if you are still receiving my allotment and bonds or did you have them converted, and also I would like to know how much my balance is at the bank as I wrote a check or two back in the states, I haven’t been paid in the last 5 mo. but I don’t need money over here as there is no place to spend it, but I would like to know why I don’t get paid. I am working on it here it seems as though they got the records mixed up. Well I will close for now.
=OVER=
I am sending you 2 pictures I had taken back in the states. The gun you see belonged to an officer and he loaned it to me to take a picture also not at this time my stripes.
Love Kenney
