Dear Folk’s:
I rec. your most welcomed letter yesterday, and I have a few spare minutes, so I thought I would answer you immediately, About the watch deal I don’t know what to have you do about it, but I think I will just leave it up to you and you decide whatever you want too on it, and whatever you decide will be all-wright [sic] with me, You know the best thing to do so I want you to decide. I can’t say how long I will be here as I don’t know, but if you do send a watch send it Air mail. [Changed to ink] Well I will write a few lines in ink, I lost my pencil so I had to borrow something to finish this letter with, if you want to send some food it would be

Food would be [inserted above the line] gladly accepted, but if you do you will have to really pack it good, as all the mail is really thrown around, Pack it in a durble [sic] box, send some peanut, butter cookies, or oatmeal cookies, Well there isn’t a lot I know to write about so I guess I better close for now hoping to hear from you soon, by the way one boy here got a watch from home & it was sent air mail, it was packed in cotton & tissue paper—just a suggestion,
Love
cPl. Kenney
