Dear Folk’s:
I received your package today and everything arrived ok. That candy is really good –mom-, also I rec. a letter from Norma & Srab [not sure about name], tell them I will try to answer them as soon as I get some time, they really keep us busy here- I would like to tell you where I am but that is impossible, except I am on the west coast, there isn’t really very much to write about, because I can’t tell you anything that I want too, so you will just have to wait until I am able to let you know where I am, but don’t worry about me as I am feeling fine and I weigh 187# “no Kidding.: - they really feed us, all we want to eat here – but I would trade it all for one of your meals Mom- I am still a corporal but I don’t know whether or not I will get to keep my stripes or not

It all depends on how many non. coms: they will need, I hope I make it, I am wearing my stripes now and it really sounds funny to hear these guys call me Corporal instead of Dole or something, I take the men out on detail, and drill them and just a little bit of everything, well I guess I had better close for now hoping to hear from you soon please say hello to Dean K. and Della & Jake, & Bill & Bert. & tell them I will drop them a line in time as soon as possible.
Love
Corporal: Kenney
Mom:
Send me some snapshots if you have any new ones
K.
