Dear Folk’s & All:
Guess what happened today? that’s right I received one of my packages, the one that had the ring & everything else, [erasure] and everything was in fine condition boy: was that home made candy ever delicious, it went like hot cakes, everyone seemed to enjoy it even – my sarge_ and the ring every guy in the barrach’s [sic] wants to know where you ever found it, it is really a honey, I don’t know how to thank you for it, but maybe someday I can repay you. My other package should be here

soon. I can’t hardly wait to see my watch!, I was on K.P. again today. in the officers Mess we fed 750 officers for dinner, who left this evening for overseas duty. so you can see how many dishes I washed I only broke about a dozen of them.
How is Larry Ray coming along and the rest of the Nelson family, I hope they are having a nice time at home, I know I really had a swell time while I was there. I wish I were there to see everyone, but it can’t be so, we will just have to wait until this war is over, well I better close for now, write soon. Love Kenney
