To: Folks 1943_8_4 From: Kenney [4 page letter] Date: 8-4-1943 Dear folk’s: Well I am going to write you again, about that coat to the suit it is at Melvin Voos’s house. You can go and get it, and if you can sell it, sell it as it doesn’t fit me besides sp I could use the money, about that picture you sent [“you sent” is inserted above the written line], is that car really ours, & who is the girl. Tell Bob Dawson to drop me a line. I wrote to Della & Jake last night and to you also, when I see Bob again I will give him the clippings you sent 2 I got the Russell County News last Sunday Id I enjoyed it very much, I won’t be able to write you tomorrow as we are going on an overnight hike but I will if I can, if you can sell any of my winter clothes go ahead & sell them if you want too. Don’t forget to ask “Odom” about that deal I wrote to you about. I really enjoyed your letter that I recieved tonight so keep on writting, it really helps things a lot to get a letter from home every day. 3 There isn’t really much to write about as yet, but I will keep in touch with you every day if I can find the time, don’t wworry about me, I am getting along ok. now. I hope my next package gets here soon as I abt don’t have anything left from the last box, please send me that poem that is written on the back of that wodden picture I made, the old Rancher pictrue picture, it is written on the back. I would like to have it, so please send it. [4] That’s about all I can thnk of for now so I will write soon. Love “Kenney”
