to Loved Ones Away]
Dear Mom:
Well mom I am on my way and am vey [sic] happy to know that I will be able to see Bob, as I am going to Camp Barkley, I know this for sure heres [sic] hoping we get to come home together sometime soon, [sic] Please tell Doran Hello [sic] for co me & everyone else well I must close Because [sic] I am not suppose [sic] to be writting [sic] on the train, I will write soon cold,[sic] I got my box just about five minutes before I got on the train and does it ever come in handy, for me and some of the other fellows thanks’ [sic] a million for it mom and you can send some more anytime, write Bob & tell him where I am going so he can find me he should know to go about it better than I do. Well goodbye and all my love [sic]
