Dear Folk’s:
Here goes for a few lines to let you know that I am still getting along ok. Mom you should see my hair cut I got yesterday, one of the fellows shaved all my hair off, and I really look as though I were bald headed, but it is so hot here you almost have to have your hair cut, but don’t worry as it will grow back. I will try to find a camera and send you some pictures if I can. If you see Harland Bot [?] tell him he owes me a letter & give him my new address, also give to Mrs. Krug and to Ernies [sic] dad & Melvin’s folk’s, you see I had to give up all my papers and addresses so I haven’t got any of theirs, although they let my keep my photographs I had so do this if you find time “thanks”.
