Kenney [2 page letter] Date: 2-29-1944 2-29-44 Dear Folk’s: There isn’t a lot to write about, but I will drop you a few lines to let you know how I am getting along, I am still somewhere on the west coast, and I like it here fine, I rec. a letter Harland B. yesterday if you see him give him my regards & tell him I will drop him a few lines soon, I had to write a check yesterday to get some money as I was broke, & I had a pass so I had to have the money, $25.00 is how much it was, I wrote it on myself so please see what my balance is for me & let me know, just [2] how much I have in cash & how many bonds, [scratch out] [scratch out] I would like to know. Do they still send you the allotment or have you had it canceled,? Have you ever received by picture [multiple underlines] that I had taken, you have never said anything about rec. it and I just wondered, I still have a receipt in case you don’t get it, The picture cost me [scratch out] $15.38, so I hope it turns out to be a good one. Well I don’t have anything to tell you at least I can’t tell you any more so I will close for now hoping to hear from you soon. Love CPl, Kenney
