Monday Dear Folk’s & Sis: Just found a few spare moments so I will drop you a few lines, hope this finds you as well as myself. As for the news from this end of the world there isn’t very much, at least none that I know of at present [sic]. I received two packages last evening, they were post marked the 15th of March, so you can imagine what k condition they were in, the peanut brittle was delicious and the cough drops were OK. out side of that there wasn’t very much lift [sic], boy I would have given anything for a piece of that fudge and fudge cookies but they were packed with bugs & worms besides being moldy, I don’t think it would pay to try and send any more, although I know how you enjoy doing things like that mom [sic], and it is impossible to tell you how much I appreciate receiving it, but it takes so lond [sic] and it it is so hot, that it spoils [VIA AIR letter border] Page 2 ----- It would be just the best thin thing if you could get one of those round tin cake cans to send it in and then seal it air tight so it wouldn’t get spoiled, anything in cans or jars will not spoil but the cookies and candy just won’t take it. so [sic] try to find one of those small tin cake cans and that, they say it work’s fine. Do you still hear from Harold B. and how is he doing, I hope by now he has his promotion by now and he should be ready to come home now almost anytime he is ready. and [sic] is Bob still in Kentucky and what is his address. I hope you see those those two small snapshots I sent to you they weren’t so hot but they were all I had. Well I will close for now hoping to hear from all of You [sic] soon, have you ever guessed where I am yet. Love Kenney Over [circled] [Written by Doran] Over Sending Kenney’s letter that came to-day [sic].
