Title:
Kenneth Dole to Folks
Date:

Description:
To: Folks 1945_10_13 From: Kenney [3 page letter] Date: 10-13-1945 Phillipines [sic] Cebu, Cebu Oct. 13-45 Dear Folk’s: Have a few minutes so I will attempt to drop you a few more lines. Received Norma’s letter today dated the 26 of Sept. and the first mail except for the papers that are coming through very well. I do hope that you will forgive me for not writing as I promised but believe it if or not I have really been busy- as they finally sent some of our boys home and I am now doing the job of three men instead =Page 2= of one, but really I don’t mind it a bit as I was so happy that some of the boys finally got to go home. I would gladly take on 3 more jobs if they would send three more boys home but all I ask is that they send me home soon and as far as I know now there still won’t anything out as yet that takes care of me, so I can’t say as to when I expect to get a chance to go. In Norma’s letter she mentioned that you would like to have me home to =Page 3= take care of Bob, and you know that there is nothing else that I would rather do than just that, so if you can do anything through the A.R.C. it will be 100 % OK. with me; however I don’t have any ^way to do anything from this end as they wouldn’t even listen to me, they would just tell me they were sorry, but we can’t help you any; so what ever you could do; go to it. Well I must close for now & will write tomorrow; so long for Now [sic]. Love StAFF. SARG. K. Dole over [back of page 3] Please Note [sic] change in address- just got promoted. K.D.D.
